Jump Digital have developed and delivered a business focused approach to digital marketing consultancy for over 250 organizations at all levels from strategic to tactical and to all sizes of customers across various industry sectors and internationally. The team have been involved in a number of highly successful ventures since 1997. Among other things, Jump Digital owns and edits a highly regarded analytics blog site.
Collectively, our Industry Advisory Board have a great wealth of international experience covering Digital Marketing, mobile technology, Video, Advertising and TV. The board independently review, and “future-proof”, the course’s content, materials and relevance.
Meet the Advisory Board
Russell Williams, MSc DML Academic Programme Director
Russell Williams is an experienced academic, trainer and researcher. He is currently the Director of the Graduate Business School at the University of Aberdeen and Programme Director for its MSc in Digital Marketing Leadership.
Whilst Russell currently delivers on the University’s Business Strategy, Strategic Marketing and Leadership courses at the University, he has also previously taught in the areas of E-marketing and Project Management. Most recently, Russell is working in the area of digital disruption, delivering a number of executive workshops focussed on digital disruption. Russell has published widely across a range of journals including: Marketing Intelligence and Planning, Management Decision, Managerial Auditing Journal, Organization Development, Management Decision, Journal of Electronic Commerce Research and International Journal of Technology & Human Interaction. In another life, Russell was involved in two Internet start-ups at the turn of the millennium. He also serves as a business mentor for start-ups.
Ed Parsons, Geospatial Technologist at Google
Ed Parsons is the Geospatial Technologist of Google, with responsibility for evangelising Google’s mission to organise the world’s information using geography. In this role he maintains links with Universities, Research and Standards Organisations which are involved in the development of Geospatial Technology.
Ed was the first Chief Technology Officer in the 200-year-old history of Ordnance Survey, and was instrumental in moving the focus of the organisation from mapping to Geographical Information. He came to the Ordnance Survey from Autodesk, where he was EMEA Applications Manager for the Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Division.
He earned a Masters degree in Applied Remote Sensing from Cranfield Institute of Technology and holds a Honorary Doctorate in Science from Kingston University, London and is a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
Andrea Burrows background spans design, advertising, marketing and digital communications. In her senior leadership roles she has taken an offline business online, led a MBO and a trade sale, and was responsible for the UK (Headquarters of EMEA) for a global agency network (52 offices in 26 countries), setting strategy, running sales and operations.
She has worked in entrepreneurial environments, from start-ups to VC-backed networks and her most recent role was a director of a business within a £70M+ owner-managed visual communications group. She is also a mentor and advisory board member for media, technology and creative businesses who are looking to scale-up.
Kenny Fraser is an experienced board level advisor and mentor with a specialism in advising companies in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications sectors. He spent most of his career with PwC working in more than 40 countries with deep experience of Europe, Middle East and Africa and good knowledge of the US and Asia.
He also held various leadership positions at Global, Regional and UK National level in PwC’s TMT Consulting business.
Since leaving PwC in 2013 he has concentrated on startup and early stage companies in the technology sector. He is a Director of several unlisted companies in Scotland and the US and acts as advisor and mentor to many others. Pro-bono roles including Chairman of the Social Growth Fund, a social entrepreneurship venture fund in Scotland.
Mike Osborne, President and COO at bieMEDIA
Mike Osborne is the President and Chief Operating Officer of bieMEDIA. Mr. Osborne has an extensive background in technology development and operations. Mr. Osborne has worked with major telecom and cable companies to optimize data and video deployment as well as development, with a focus on ensuring operational excellence and ROI.
Prior to joining bieMEDIA, Mr. Osborne was the Founder of OmniWerks Consulting Services, focused on developing operational excellence at technology and communications companies, held several global operations roles in telecommunications and hospitality, and led the development and deployment of competitive cable systems. Mr. Osborne has Undergraduate and Graduate degrees in Mathematics from Indiana University, as well as Post Graduate work in Decision Science.
Wim joined Endemol Shine Group in the fall of 2015 from Yahoo EMEA where he has been Senior Director, Strategy & Operations since 2011, overseeing the company’s strategic planning and business development across the region. This has included identifying and pursuing opportunities for M&A, commercial partnerships and expansion into new markets, whilst evaluating and exploiting trends in the marketplace
Wim’s previous roles have included a number of senior positions at Coca Cola, including managing projects and planning across host cities and venues for UEFA Euro 2008 and overseeing a portfolio of national and international accounts.
As Group Director of Strategy & Commercial Development Wim is responsible for defining and implementing Endemol Shine Group’s global strategy, working closely with the company’s local leaders and partners around the world and reporting directly to CEO Sophie Turner Laing. This includes identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including acquisitions and expansion into new markets, whilst tracking and leveraging market trends as well as driving the groups digital endeavours.
His remit includes overseeing the Group’s commercial, M&A, Digital and research teams.
